Hurricane Summary POSTED: September 20, 2014 7:15 a.m. Worst of Polo to Miss Baja, Watching for the Next System Tropical Storm Polo is moving very slowly northwest off the west coast of mainland Mexico. While the brunt of the wind and rain associated with Polo will remain offshore, outer rain bands from the system may impact the immediate coast of the southern Baja Peninsula. Elsewhere, the remnants of Odile will continue to bring the threat for flooding rainfall across southeastern New Mexico and western Texas through today. While no other tropical development is expected in the immediate future, there are indications that a system may attempt to develop off the coast of Central America later this weekend or early next week.
